Hello, I am Tom Quinn and I am 22 years old. I’m an innovative and industrious young person with a mature attitude. I have been in education constantly going from GCSEs (10 A*-C including Science, Maths and English), to BTEC and A-Levels (BTEC IT Extended Diploma, Maths and Media) to 2 years at Manchester Metropolitan University (Video Game Design).
I have got many experiences from assisting groups with event organisation from working electrical equipment to handing historical artefacts and informing the public about them. I am quick thinking but also calm from having grown up around heavy horses and livestock, I own my own herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle. This has given a broad range of practical skills and problem solving as well as good old fashion hard work.
These experiences of working at events and a certificate of higher education in video game design give me a broad range of skills which make me committed, resourceful and professional. I aspire to use my experience with computers, both software (coding, using office and media software and troubleshooting software) and hardware (servicing computer peripherals and replacing components) to further a career in IT.I would like to work in a creative environment, preferably in a small team. Also I enjoy learning new things and trying new experiences.
