My name is Darren Fairhurst, I am 23 and I live in Doncaster.
I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated and professional person with a pleasant manner who gives 100% to any job that I undertake and works well under pressure. I am able to communicate effectively at all levels and enjoy working as part of team and being supportive of my colleagues.
I have gained my safety passport which is valid until 2016 and would be willing to undertake any further training that might be required. I also have Level 1 in practical horticulture and qualifications in English, IT and Media studies. I have done work place induction training that covered health and safety, team working, meeting targets and using hand held devices.
My previous work experience includes working for Next Distribution as a Warehouse Operative which was a fast paced environment requiring close attention to detail and the ability to achieve targets while complying with health and safety procedures. I have also worked as an Industrial Cleaner at Drax Power station where I was required to work at heights, meet deadlines and follow direct instructions to maintain the safety of myself and my colleagues. I am currently volunteering as a groundsman at a community centre where I assist with the maintenance of the whole outside area, this is a skill that I have gained by doing my work experience with DMBC ground maintenance team and helping a relative who is a horticulturist.
I am looking for an opportunity to use the skills I have and develop some further skills with an employer who in return for my willingness to work hard and undertake any training necessary will offer me some job security and the chance to achieve my full potential.
