Having successfully completed a 2 year IT Course at Doncaster College, I have developed a range of great IT skills. These include the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. I also know how to use Adobe Photoshop.
I am also an effective communicator – I can speak clearly, concisely and can communicate with a range of people of different ages, opinions and backgrounds.
I class myself as very good at organising things, whether that is time or priories’. In the two year course at college I had to organise what jobs needed doing before others and I had to keep the area I worked in safe and not leave tools around.
I have successfully attained a number of qualifications including: GCSE English GCSE Mathematics GCSE Science BTEC Public Services Level 2 Diploma Information and Creative Technology, I covered Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and also made my own website. Level 3 Diploma System Support I found faults on computers, repaired the issue and made documents on each repair we made. I also spent some time learning customer service.
YMCA Charity Shop (Voluntary) I worked for three months as a shop assistant at YMCA charity shop. In this job role I had to meet and greet customers and help any customers with any queries or questions they might have about certain products. I also had to sort and manage the deliveries we received and put the items where they needed to be.
I was a Disc Jockey for 10 months. During this time I visited many places and I met a lot of new people. As a disc jockey it was very important to be organised as I had to diarise bookings; plan journeys, organise equipment and plan what music I was going to play. As I was self-employed, I developed a range of skills including marketing, finance, and administration.
My ideal job role would be any job that is involved with IT. In my spare time I like to learn about new advancements in IT, build computers, help teach computer packages to friends and family.
